Frayed at the Edges

The Brunel Broderers, or, as they are often known the BB’s, are a nationally recognised group of professional artists based in south west England, with a reputation for unique work of the highest quality that constantly pushes the boundaries of textile art and heightens further the profile of textiles as an art form.
During 2005, the Brunel Broderers shut their suitcases after the success of their widely acclaimed touring exhibition, “Packed”, sat back, relaxed and enjoyed a well earned break. However, in their minds, the Group were already making their next journey – a candid and incisive voyage beyond the stresses and frays of everyday life to re-evaluate their traditions and values and define the way forward into 2006 and beyond.
The result of their travels and insights is Frayed at the Edges? - a truly inspirational and emotive exhibition of new work to challenge the concept of textiles in art.
